Another Notice
to Fast unto Death outside Parliament House was withdrawn when the then Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi assured us to looked
into and acted accordingly
This is with reference
to my representation dated 29th April 2005 to His Excellency President of Federal Republic of Switzerland, Through,
Swiss Ambassador to India.
On 3rd December 1980 I lead one deputation, met and submitted 16 Page printed Memorandum
to the then Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi demanding enquiry in the matter and affairs of Aluminium Industry with Notice
that in case our demands are not accepted, then I will sit out side Parliament House for Fast unto Death, and upon assurance
from Smt. Gandhi, I withdrawn my program to sit for Fast. However, On the basis of study published by me in said Memorandum,
which was also distributed each Member of Parliament Energy Ministry under the then Union Minister Shri Abdul Gani Khan Choudhury
(Now Member of Parliament) vehemently opposed demand of Price Hike of Aluminium by one Monopoly Aluminium Producers.
Photocopies of certain News and letter written by veteran leader the then Member of Parliament
late Shri Chitta Basu to the then Union Minister for Steel and Mines Shri Pranab Mukherjee are also posted below.
This is need less to mention that Shri Pranab Mukherjee placed proposals thrice before cabinet
for permission to price hike of Aluminium, but each time I got information in time, and when reminded to Smt. Indira Gandhi
about assurance given by her as aforesaid, each time she sent back such proposal, without any decision.
As it was reported me that considering my way of approach to her just at the time of such cabinet
meetings through telegraphic messages, third time Smt. Indira Gandhi ordered for detailed enquiry in the matter. However,
such enquiry was never held but thereafter Pranab Mukherjee restrained himself from placing fresh proposal.
